Summary
Lara Lington's career is on the brink of disaster and her love life is in shambles. To make matters worse she thinks she is going insane. How else can the sudden appearance of her great-aunt Sadie's ghost be explained? Sadie, a true Twenties Girl, has one last request: Lara must help her find a missing necklace. The quest for the missing jewelry leads Lara to uncover family secrets, face unpleasant truths about her relationships, and even find new success and romance.
Critique
If you are turned off by the notion that this is a ghost story, think again! Twenties Girl is a charming, laugh-out-loud, romantic comedy with a tiny supernatural twist. Lara is a typical Sophie Kinsella heroine--a sweet, slightly ditzy, and starry-eyed twenty-something career woman who just happens to have a spunky spirit following her around. Suspend your disbelief and discover a wonderful story of self-discovery and friendship. Highly recommend.
