Summary
Nurse Marion Seeley finds work at a Phoenix medical clinic after her husband, a disgraced doctor, has left her to find work in Mexico. The lonely Marion finds a social life with her co-worker Louise, her exciting and glamorous new friend. At one of Louise's wild parties, Marion meets the charming Joe Lanigan who introduces Marion to the dark side to her new friends' lifestyle.

Megan Abbott delivers another spellbinding 1930s crime novel. Lyrical writing and fascinating characters. This book was inspired by the crimes of `the trunk murderess,` Winnie Ruth Judd. Recommend for fans of the genre.
