Summary
The unmarried mother of twin boys dies during delivery. The brothers are abruptly, and quite astonishingly, abandoned by their father. The author delivers the story of their upbringing, coming of age and eventual destinies within the vital framework of exotic cultures, conflicting religions, and mercurial governments.
Critique
The author has conceived an epic-like tale, deftly veiling a gamut of universal human needs and emotions with his surgical handling of foreign phrases and medical jargon, nimbly assisted by a nonjudgmental manner. Highly recommended. Check out a copy - stat.
