Summary
In this sequel to City of Bone, Clary's mom is still in a coma, someone or something is killing children of Downworlders, and Valentine has stolen another mortal instrument, bringing him closer to destroying the clave. While Clary and Jace struggle with being siblings, Simon is in danger.

Critique
Terrifying truths are revealed in the second book of the trilogy featuring Clary and Shadowhunters. Valentine proves to be a cunning and genius villain. Clary discovers her talent and finally gets in on the demon-slaying action. Readers will be satisfied with all that is revealed and eager for more answers to come in the third and final book of the series. Highly recommend.
