Summary
Joshua searches for a `new way` in the world after witnessing a young boy being beaten and then disowned by his father. Joshua, the young boy David, and a former slave Elizabeth join in that pursuit encountering unusual characters who share important lessons to help them in the search which eventually takes them to a cave near the Great Inland Sea.
