Summary
Fourteen-year-old Holly Hogan has lived in a residential care facility in London since her mother left her when she was a young child. When she finds a wig at her new foster home, she takes on a new identity. As `Solace,` a girl with courage and chutzpah, she takes to the road to find her mother in Ireland, endangering her life but finding a new strength.

Holly, aka Solace, has a great teen voice--she's funny, smart, and biting. Her journey across England and Wales to uncover the facts of her past is realistic and uncompromising. Highly recommended.
