Summary
A budget crisis threatens to close the local public library. With that reality, branch manager Maureen Davenport has been chosen to direct the community's annual Christmas pageant. Her co-director is former child star/recovering alcoholic Eddie Haven, who is fulfilling his court-appointed community service. Personalities clash but eventually romance ensues. Happily the pageant is a success and the library is saved.
Critique
The sixth entry in the Lakeshore chronicles is a Christmas delight. Recommend.
