Summary
The Little Detective Agency, namely Bernie and canine friend Chet, is hired by Countess Adelina di Borghese to safeguard herself and show-dog Princess because their lives have been threatened. Both the Countess and dog are kidnapped, and Susie Sanchez, the reporter covering the abduction, also disappears. Bernie and Chet save the day, sort of.

Chet narrates the book so the reader gets lots of dog perspective on food, various smells, riding shotgun, danger, and adventure. Highly recommend.
