Summary
Bea and her family have moved again, and she has finally given up on finding real friendship at her new school. Then she meets Jonah. He is withdrawn and sullen; he is a nobody. Nicknamed Ghost Boy, he has no friends, except for Bea. Slowly he lets her in and shares his secrets with her, and Bea is never the same again.
Critique
The pink cover does a great disservice to this moving story of true friendship. While it deals with love, it is not a light read, nor is it a romance. How to Say Goodbye in Robot is full of odd and memorable characters, humor, heartache, and loneliness. Highly recommend.
