Summary
Billy, fresh out of college, begins work at Samuelson, an esteemed dictionary company where he is trained as a lexicographer. While researching word citations, he discovers references to a book entitled "The Broken Teaglass," an unpublished book whose excerpts describe the very place that employs Billy. Even stranger, they also describe a murder that has occurred. Billy and his lovely co-worker, Mona, research the company’s files in order to find out if a murderer sits in the cubicle next to them.

Critique
This fabulous debut novel is a perfect mix of mystery, romance, and word fun. Interesting perspectives on office relationships and the author's insight into the world of dictionary publishing also help to make this book the very definition of a good read.
