Summary
It has been almost a year since Carly was murdered. Her uncle is in prison and the case is officially closed. Her cousin Audrey and her ex-boyfriend Neily are not convinced that Audrey's dad killed Carly. Told in the alternating voices of Audrey and Neily, the dark happenings at Brighton Prep School are revealed as they form a reluctant alliance in order to find the real killer.
Critique
This tightly woven mystery is beautifully written and full of rich language. There are plenty of suspenseful twists and turns in this debut novel. The characters are well developed, experience a great deal of growth and tell a compelling story. Recommended read.
