Summary
A body is found in an exhibition hall at the San Celina Mid-State Fair wrapped in a valuable African-American quilt stolen from a fair exhibit. The victim, Calvin Jones, is the boyfriend of Jazz, daughter of the fair's first black general manager. Benni Harper Ortiz, museum curator, amateur sleuth, and police chief's wife finds the body and becomes involved in solving the mystery with the help of her great-aunt Garnet Wilcox.

Lots of quirky characters in the 14th entry in the Benni Harper mystery series. A treat to read. Recommend.
