Summary
Savannah (Van) was maid of honor at her best friend Janie's wedding. Janie married Peter, someone Van has secretly been in love with since college. Van is brokenhearted and orders a German shepherd puppy off of the Internet sight unseen while drowning her sorrow in vodka and watching a Rin Tin Tin television marathon. Van's puppy ends up being a 100 lb. Slovakian police dog, technically still a puppy. Van takes puppy "Joe" to local vet Alex and a new relationship will flourish between Van and Alex as long as Peter stays out of the picture.
