Summary
When Alice and Mattia meet as teenagers, they realize they are kindred spirits because each is emotionally damaged due to a childhood trauma. Yearning for each other but unable to escape their solitude, mathematically gifted Mattia accepts a scholarship to study in Germany and Alice marries another. Years later, Mattia is summoned home by a mysterious note from Alice. Will they finally choose to open up to each other?
