Summary
It has been two years since Noelle was kidnapped. For those two years her best friend, Tessa, has waited, wished, and hoped that Noelle would come home. Tessa finally gets her wish, but the girl who returns is not Noelle. She is Elle and she is nothing like the best friend Tessa lost. Now that Elle is back, can Tessa finally begin to live her life?

The Tension of Opposites offers a unique look at the subject of kidnapping from the point of view of the people left behind. The story is painful and heartbreaking, yet hopeful. The characters are interesting and lovable (especially Max) and the story gripping. Recommend.
