Summary
Italian monk Giordano Bruno, who narrowly escaped the Inquisition in his country, is on a mission for one of Queen Elizabeth's henchmen to uncover religious wrongdoing when several murders on the Oxford campus create a whole new diversion.
Critique
Good characterizations and historical detail make this an interesting story of the religious turmoil under Queen Elizabeth I. Things begin to really move in the last chapters with a big plot twist and solution to the whodunit. Recommended.
