Summary
Peanut the Elephant and her trainer Uri have gone missing from the Drummond Family Circus. The Little Detective Agency's Bernie Little and Chet, his loveable canine, are hired by Uri's partner Popo the Clown to locate them. Our favorite man and dog duo find themselves quickly immersed in dangerous situations in a case that involves animal rights activists, snakes, circus smells, ex-wives, and hopefully for Bernie, a paycheck at the end of it.
Critique
Suspenseful, smart, and funny. This mystery is another fabulous entry in an already wonderful series. Chet as narrator makes Quinn's mysteries truly original and entertaining. Highly recommended reading.
