Summary
Sixteen-year-old Katla and her mom relocate from sunny SoCal to chilly Minnesota after her parents' split. Kat misses her old life but she’s been given a good distraction. Kat's been tapped to join the Icelandic Stork Society, a group that guides the right unborn soul to the one of a select pool of potential mothers. She's also trying to figure out why Jack Snjosson, popular starting quarterback and editor of the school paper, seems mad Kat doesn’t remember him from childhood visits. It's a lot to handle, but Kat is up to the challenge.
Critique
Kat is a fabulous heroine, with plenty of style and wit, and her supporting cast of characters is just as entertaining. The mysteries are nicely developed and the ending feels satisfying while still leaving readers excited for the next book in the series. Highly recommended read.
