Summary
Crispin Guest, a disgraced knight who was convicted of treason and stripped of his title, land, and honor, now makes his living as a 'tracker,' by solving other peoples' problems with the help of Jack Tucker, an orphaned street urchin. Crispin reluctantly takes on a new client, a Jewish physician at the King's court, who wants Crispin to find stolen parchments that are behind the gruesome murders of young boys.
Critique
This is the best entry so far in a thrilling series. A page-turning historical mystery with an engaging, flawed hero. Highly recommend.
