Summary
Lilly Haswell works in her father's apothecary shop but dreams of life outside the small village of Bedsley Priors and of finding her mother, who abandoned them three years earlier. When fate brings her to London and a society season, will her dreams be fulfilled or will her old life take them away?
Critique
Good historical novel of Regency England that gives attention to the lives of "common" folk and not just Society, as well as interesting details about the business of apothecaries. It still has plenty of drama and romance!
