Summary
Bridget Duke is the mean girl of her high school. When a new girl, Anna, starts classes, things begin to fall apart. Bridget's social status is being threatened, and she is facing expulsion. In an act of desperation, she crashes her car and finds herself in limbo. Now, the people she hurt the most have the power to decide her fate.
Critique
Bridget is a truly unlikeable character, but in the end her remorse is genuine and believable. This is a thought-provoking but uncomfortable read that offers insight into the minds of both a bully and her victims.
