Summary
Wrecker is born to a woman who makes a bad decision that lands her in prison when he is just three years old. Though the state of California gives Wrecker to his aunt and uncle who live in remote Humboldt county, they can't care for him properly and instead, they allow the neighboring commune members Melody, Willow, Ruthie, and Johnnie Appleseed to raise the boy on their ramshackle farm.
