Summary
Will Halpin, an overweight and deaf teenager, transfers from his all deaf high school to a regular school and must negotiate cliques, communication, and friendship. When a fellow student is murdered, his ability to think outside the box helps him to solve the crime.
Critique
Will is not your typical teenager and his self-deprecating humor and gentle voice is a welcome change of pace. His adventures in detective work are a bit unbelievable, but his character makes the book well worth reading.
