Summary
The world falls into chaos after an asteroid hits the moon and pushes it closer to earth. In New York City tidal waves have devastated the city, leaving seventeen-year-old Alex Morales responsible for his two younger sisters. As the siblings face illness, starvation, impossible decisions, and the loss of their parents, their faith and their will to survive is tested.
Critique
This harrowing survival story examines issues of faith, family, and loyalty. This book is even darker and creepier than the first in the series, with a higher body count and graphic accounts of death. Recommended.
