Summary
A young writer hires a woman (Luciana) to take dictation while he writes his novel. He knows that she has been the secretary for a well-known writer named Kloster, and in the months she works for the narrator (never named), he becomes somewhat infatuated with her. But they go their separate ways, until a decade later, when she calls him. She is desperate, and says that the writer, Kloster, is slowly killing all of those people close to her. Are Luciana’s accusations those of an unbalanced woman or is Kloster, the writer of crime novels, really plotting against her?
Critique
A mind game. The author is a successful Argentinian writer.
