Summary
Thirteen-year-old Drew begins the summer by working at her widowed mom's cheese shop and mooning over a fellow employee. Along the way she finds a notebook written by her father, receives a pet rat as a gift, and discovers a mysterious friend in the alley behind the store.
Critique
Reinhardt's latest starts out well, with interesting, believable characters but the ending feels rushed and far-fetched.
