Summary
Fourteen-year-old Alex, a gawky, musical teen, is shocked when he wakes up in a stranger's body. He soon finds out that he's in the body of Philip, or "Flip," a suave, careless, athletic boy - his exact opposite. When he tries to return home, he discovers that his body is in a coma. Is Flip inside his body? Can he get back to his true self after this 'psychic evacuation'?
Critique
A fascinating concept, fantastic characters, and a fast-moving pace make Flip a great read! The common teen search for identity is framed so uniquely and the issues are dealt with realistically and sensitively. Alex is an appropriate mix of confusion and panic while being sensitive to the people around him who are just as confused. Highly recommended.
