Summary
Charlotte Kinder, recently divorced mother of two, is looking to step out of her everyday life for a while. What better place, and time, than Austenland? Taking on the role of Mrs. Cordail, Charlotte struggles with letting go of her natural inclination to solve problems when she completely focuses on a parlor game mystery. Or maybe there really was a murder?
Critique
The characters are witty and engaging, with more than a few laugh-out-loud moments. Readers of Austenland by Shannon Hale will recognize some cross-over elements, but this book can be fully enjoyed if read on its own. Highly recommended read.
