Summary
Movie reviewer Violet Epps is unafraid to write about how she really feels about films, but is not so tough when it comes to her personal life. Although she's about to let her boyfriend move in with her, she visits the Algonquin Hotel, her literary hero Dorothy Parker's favorite haunt, for inspiration to break up with the man. Violet gets more than she bargains for when the feisty gin-guzzling spirit of Dorothy Parker materializes from the hotel's guestbook and barges into Violet's life. Now, Violet is forced to face her fears whether she wants to or not.
Critique
A light easy read that you'll tear right through. With lots of one-liners and zingers, this novel will make you chuckle along the way.
