Summary
Married for 30 years, Wesley and Leslie Carter are the quintessential Atlanta couple, but as Wesley's friends begin to divorce their wives and remarry younger trophy wives, Leslie begins to feel out of place with these strangers. Additionally, Leslie feels taken for granted by her demanding husband and a daughter who seems to only ever call when she needs a babysitter. And then there is the issue of Wesley's secret $22 million bank account! A furious Leslie, at her wit's end, takes off to Charleston to visit her brother, and to spend some much needed time by herself deciding her next move.
Critique
Though this is a bit predictable, it makes for quick, easy, and perfect-for-the-beach reading.
