Summary
At the height of Johnny Carson's career, Henry Bushkin was his lawyer, confidant, and tennis partner. Henry quickly learned he needed to be available for Carson 24 hours a day. Their relationship ended abruptly after 18 years. Bushkin had gone behind Carson's back on a business deal, and there were always consequences for crossing Carson.
Critique
The book contains lots of insider information. It's the story of a brilliant successful entertainer who was also a moody, lonely father, and husband (4 times over).
