Summary
Drug lord Manuel Perrine has escaped from prison and has vowed to kill New York Police Detective Michael Bennett and his entire family. To protect them, he uproots his entire family from New York to a small farm in California as part of the FBI's Witness Protection System. Thinking his family is safe, Michael and the FBI continue to hunt for Perrine before he can exact his revenge on the Bennett family.
Critique
This sixth Michael Bennett novel is a fast-paced, suspenseful thriller that is hard to put down once started because of the great twists and turns in the plot. Reader beware...there are several very graphic, violent scenes in the story. Michael continues to evolve as a character as he tries to balance his personal life with his professional one.
