Summary
Cricket Thompson has secured a place for herself at Brown University, and in order to make some money she returns to her beloved Nantucket. She has a summer of new experiences and opportunities, but it is when she is with her oldest friends that she makes her biggest mistake. One poor decision could jeopardize everything that she has worked so hard to earn. Cricket is forced to reexamine her plans and really think about what she wants for her future.
Critique
Nantucket Red is a fun summer read that still offers readers plenty of conflict and character development along with some romance. Cricket and her friends are busy navigating the post-high school world and trying to discover where they fit in.
