Summary
Will Rees and his wife Lydia receive a letter from Mouse (Sister Hannah), a Shaker friend from New York. She has been accused of kidnapping widow Maggie Whitney’s five children. According to Mouse, Maggie is an alcoholic and the children are being neglected. When Maggie is found dead, Mouse is the prime suspect.
