Summary
Witch Diana Bishop, now pregnant with twins, and her husband, the ages-old vampire Matthew de Clairmont, have returned to the 21st-Century from the 16th-Century, only to find a mess awaiting them. More than ever, they desperately need to find the ancient manuscript known as Ashmole 187, or The Book of Life. As scholars and scientists, they both believe the manuscript's secrets will be able to keep their own family safe, but the welfare of all of Earth’s creatures also depend on its discovery.
Critique
This third in the All Souls Trilogy is a perfect blend of blend of fantasy, science, and adventure, and is nearly impossible to put down. It will answer every question that readers may have from the first two books. A great series, that's now ended, makes this reader wish Matthew and Diana's story could go on and on.
