Summary
Kick Lannigan was abducted when she was just five years old. Her abductor renamed her and forced her into child pornography but also taught her how to fire weapons, pick locks and make bombs. When Kick was freed from that life at the age of 10, she could no longer pretend to be a normal girl. Now 21, Kick is approached by a man named John Bishop to help track down other missing kids. The work is not pretty. But for Kick, the scariest place is hidden deep within the confines of her memory--and her new line of work is about to disturb the calm she's worked so hard to achieve over the last decade.
Critique
Suspenseful reading and superb character development are in store for readers of this first in a new series by Cain. Though not for the squeamish, this book is nearly impossible to put down.
