Summary
Edward Seymour brings his bride, Katherine, home to Wolf Hall. Katherine and Jane, Edward’s younger sister, become fast friends. When Edward returns home after fighting in France, there’s a new baby, and Edward cannot be the father. When Katherine is accused of having an affair, she is sent off to a convent never to be heard from again. Edward sends Jane to court to become a maid to Queen Catherine, Henry VIII’s first wife.
Critique
The future royal wife, Jane Seymour, tells the tale of this scandal in the Seymour family. An interesting tale of a little-known event.
