Summary
Anna, Kate and Georgiana (George) meet in college where they forge bonds that are both strained and strengthened. Anna is their fearless leader, but her restlessness is often destructive. Kate is content to follow along and confident in her future, but when her plans change she finds herself lost. George is the most desired woman in a room, but always seems to pick the wrong guy. After college the women go their separate ways, but for better or worse, they always manage to find their way back to each other.
Critique
This new offering from Lisa Lutz is dramatically different from her quirky and hilarious Spellmans series. Readers who appreciate flawed characters and tales of enduring friendship will enjoy this book. The story of Anna, Kate, and George is not told in chronological order, rather it unfolds through a series of vignettes that span twenty years. Stick with it to see how everything works out! A moving tribute to the enduring power of friendship.
