Summary
Billy Graves, a cop who works the night shift in Manhattan, used to be a member of an anti-crime unit in Harlem known as the Wild Geese, a unit known for their unorthodox ways. Friends still, they each have an unsolved case, a "White" that haunts them. When one of their "Whites" ends up murdered, it leads Billy down a path from which he may not recover.
Critique
Harry Brandt is actually Richard Price, a novelist known for his books about crime and cops in New York City. Gritty, funny, with a page-turning plot and unique characters. The voice reading the audiobook captured the characters' unique voices.
