Summary
Seven months after his break up, Alex is still lonely and depressed. Seeing his despair, his well-meaning grandmother sends him an X5, a top of the line new realistic android. Alex is horrified and not interested in a relationship with a robot, but when he learns that his android will have its memories wiped if he returns it, he changes his mind. And so begins a strange and complicated friendship.
Critique
A heartfelt story full of really cool futuristic technology. This first volume introduces readers to the world of artificial intelligence and poses questions about what makes us human. The illustrations are clean and simple. An excellent first installment!
