Summary
When teenager Wolf moves with his deadbeat dad from Michigan to California, he finds solace in a new friend and the local mountain they both love to explore. After his friend suffers a horrible accident and his father lands in prison, Wolf finds himself on the mountain again, this time in the wilderness with three lost and unprepared women, all of them fighting for survival.
Critique
Wolf's story is inherently sad as he grows up having lost his mother and enduring his father's abuse and neglect but he grows immensely as a character over the length of the story and finds himself as a result.
