Summary
A librarian unlike you've ever met before, Carolyn was once a normal American girl, until "Father" adopted her and her siblings and trained them to be the Universe's keepers of knowledge. Now that Father has gone missing, the title of head librarian might be up for grabs and evil forces are at work. As trouble ensues, Carolyn enlists a mortal man and ex-con named Steve to help her in a most-unusual quest.
Critique
A surprising, suspenseful, humorous and weird book filled with magic, murderous demi-gods, and a battle of "kind of good" versus "kind of evil." An enjoyable and quick, but not at all sanitized read.
