Summary
Thirty something Josh Levin makes a living as an ESL teacher, but really wants to be a screenwriter; his most promising idea is the gory apocalyptic "Zombie Wars". After coming home to his ex-veteran landlord rifling through his things, he moves in with his girlfriend, but bliss doesn't last long as Joshua becomes involved with one of his students, Bosnian Ana. As her violent husband pursues him, Josh's life becomes weirder and more dangerous than his screenplay.
Critique
The screenplay of "Zombie Wars" is creatively interspersed with the narrative in this funny, raucous, and wild ride of a novel.
