Summary
Helen Hawthorne and friend Margery are touring the Bonnet House Museum where they observe a painting class with up-and-coming artist Annabel Griffin in attendance. That same day Annabel dies from nicotine poisoning, and Helen is hired to find the killer. Annabel’s ex-husband Hugo Hythe is the prime suspect. Helen’s husband Phil is hired to capture the “Gold Ghost” who is stealing gold coins from elderly condominium residents and has killed one person.
Critique
The fifteenth entry in the Dead-End Job mystery series is a quick fun read with all the familiar characters.
