Summary
Eva and Jim lives converge in 1958 and are forever changed. The possibilities seem endless at the start of every new relationship but in this novel, there are just three. In one version, the two meet and marry; in another, they marry others; and in a third, they may never even meet at all. Did you ever wonder how your life would be if you just made one past move differently?
Critique
This is a clever debut novel about missed chances, true love and destiny. Barrett's characters (especially Eva) are well-drawn and sympathetic, and readers will root for all versions of Eva and Jim to find happiness.
