Summary
Lux Lysander is a single mother living in San Francisco in 1975. She goes camping alone when her young son is visiting grandparents. While camping Lux encounters a thick fog ending in Greengage, a community in Sonoma’s Valley of the Moon. She discovers a people frozen in time, namely the first decade of the 1900’s. The residents cannot safely leave their community, but Lux can go back and forth on the day following a full moon. Lux falls in love with Greengage founder Joseph Bell and gets stuck there returning to San Francisco in 2064. Nothing is the same.
