Summary
In Frank’s music shop only vinyl is for sale, no cassettes or compact discs. Frank has a special talent for connecting customers to the music they need. Frank’s life changes drastically when Ilse Brauchman enters his shop. She hires him to teach her how to listen to music. They meet on a weekly basis and fall in love. Frank and the store keepers in the neighborhood resist selling out to a development company. Over time circumstances change and stores close. When Ilse is called home to care for her ailing mother, many years pass before Frank and Ilse are reunited.
Critique
A cast of likeable loveable eccentrics. A sweet love story.
