Summary
The first Rin Tin Tin was a puppy rescued in France by Lee Duncan. Lee brought him back to the United States. The dog was very trainable and starred in silent movies internationally. Rin Tin Tin became a tremendous moneymaker for Warner Bros. Other Rin Tin Tins followed but none reached the stardom of the original dog.
Critique
The 2012 Ohioana Library Award winner for nonfiction is a terrific dog tale for those who remember Rin Tin Tin.
