Summary
As a twice-divorced mother of two, Josephine Morhard, would not give up. She raised her children, ran a meat market and started a baseball league for young boys in Cleveland. Her initial idea was to encourage discipline, guidance and self-worth in her son. Her idea was met with enthusiasm from city officials and the Cleveland Indians. Josephine found ball fields, umpires, uniforms, coaches etc. for her “boys”.
