Summary
Anthony is an author who retreats to Block Island in order to escape his failing marriage and career. Joy, who runs a whoopie pie bakery there, is a single mother juggling her worries about money, her daughter Maggie getting older, and the new food truck on the island selling macarons. Lu, a dissatisfied stay-at-home mom, is forced to pursue her professional dreams in secret and fears this vacation with her in-laws will ruin everything. This summer, these three strangers will come together in an attempt to fix what is wrong or missing their worlds.

With its likeable characters and compelling, converging storylines, this pitch-perfect beach read will satisfy long after your vacation has ended.
